Our history dates back to 1936, when our ancestors were fishermen and restaurateurs, guardians of maritime traditions and genuine flavours. Their children were able to transform this legacy into solid experience in the catering and Ho.Re.Ca. distribution sector, becoming small but important players in the selection and trade of artisan-quality gastronomic products. Today, we, the third generation, proudly carry on this family tradition, consolidating old, close and trusted relationships with selected artisan producers who focus on quality and authentic flavour.
Our supplies are characterised by limited production, focused on an exclusive, non-mass market offering. We carefully select short supply chain products, harvested and processed locally, to guarantee freshness, traceability and sustainability. Italka Food thus represents a bridge between the richness of Italian traditions and a demanding international market, offering only products of excellence with a unique taste, the result of passion, experience and love for the land.
Our products
We are direct importers and reserve the exclusive right to commission throughout the Czech Republic. This offers customers several advantages, cutting out any additional commercial intermediation costs and time, and ensuring better traceability and preservation of the product. Furthermore, customers have the opportunity to truly evaluate three artisan producers from different rural regions of central and southern Italy, untouched by industrialisation, farms that reproduce gastronomic art every day following the traditions and methods handed down by their ancestors:
Fresh Truffle and processed: truffle products and derivatives for various uses and dishes in catering are available in stock. Fresh Abruzzo truffles, washed or brushed, harvested and shipped within 24 hours throughout Europe, are available to order. Up to 20 different varieties of fresh Italian truffles are available depending on the season.
Peperoni Cruschi I.G.P.and Extra Virgin Olive Oil I.G.P. & BIO: Senise IGP peperoni cruschi (crunchy peppers) and Lucania IGP & BIO extra virgin olive oil, fried peperoni cruschi, derivatives and powders. Dried fruit are also available to order. All foods produced in the same region and by the same farm.
Campania DOP dairy products and Italian branded products for Ho.Re.Ca.: available only to distributors, importers, large chains and major brands, we offer a wide selection of over 1,300 Italian food products, represented by more than 60 different brands. Our producer Caseario is a medium-sized family-run company well known in southern Italy that has been producing and marketing a wide range of foods (D.O.P., I.G.P., D.O.P.G.) in the Ho.Re.Ca. large-scale distribution sector for over 100 years. A separate price list of products in stock in the Czech Republic is available for restaurateurs and private individuals.
